Monastery of St. Wenceslas and Ludmila

Loděnice Church Monuments
The large Neo-Renaissance vila, sometimes called as the Vinice chateau, was built in 1873 for a Prague hotel owner Antonín Cífka, who founded the vineyards and built the first tennis courts in Bohemia here. Gradually he managed to grow well some known wine varieties in his vineyards. The cellars were used as the filling room.
After many years of dilapidation, the villa got a new owner recently.
The building underwent a thorough renovation and was turned into an Orthodox monastery of St. Wenceslas and Ludmila. Regular services take place here.
