The trail is located in Křivoklát village. It leads through Na Babě Nature Reserve and connects the Karlštejn car park above the castle with a view point called Paraplíčko above the bank of the Berounka river.
The trail is recommended to families with children. The trail was built by pupils of the Křivoklát Elementary School in cooperation with The Křivoklátsko Nature Reserve Authority in 2003. The trail starts at the primary school in Křivoklát on the left Berounka river bank. It consists of 20 educational pannels and it is only one-way. Visitors have to return back to the starting point then. The pannels inform visitors about geology, protecting the local fauna and flora. Almost 200 animal and plant species are mentioned here.
