The museum was founded in 1965. Until 2001 it was located in a building called Čechovna, next to the Liteň Chateau. The museum reopened in 2004 and is now located in the newly developed interiors of a historic parish house by the Church, with permanent exhibitions on Jarmila Novotná and Svatopluk Čech. The famous opera singer Jarmila Novotná spent several years in Liteň during her marriage to Jiří Daubek, owner of the Liteň dominion.

The museum was first opened at the occasion of 120 years of the Prague-Rudná-Beroun Railway Line.

Museum and Gallery of M. D. Rettigová
Všeradice Museums & Galleries
The gallery and museum of Magdalena Dobromila Rettigová who was born in Všeradice, is situated in the chateau granary in the northern part of the court.
It features an interactive exhibition covering the life and work of the popular Czech patriot and writer.
On the first floor you will see original 19th century furniture and other period artefacts. The second floor is divided into two parts. An exhibition of contemporary artist is located in one part, the other shows works of significant Czech and foreign painters, sculptors and photographers.

Army Museum Zdice
Zdice Museums & Galleries
The museum was established in 2005 in former barracks of the railway military unit. It show the military history of the 20th century, focusing on WW2 and military technologies. Most of the exhibits are placed in two halls and an outside area. The main attraction are original historical vehicles.
The museum can be visited from April until the end of October on Saturdays from 9 to 15 (except Saturdays, when the club takes part in events outside of Zdice)
