Žebrák Museum

Žebrák Museums & Galleries
A subsidiary of the Czech Karst Museum. The museum is located in the former school building on the square. There are two permanent exhibitions in the museum - The History of the Royal Town Žebrák and a gallery of Jaroslav Hněvkovský. Every year the museum organise an extra exhibition.

Birthplace of František Nepil

Hýskov Museums & Galleries
The house in the village of Hýskov is the birthplace of popular Czech novelist František Nepil. The municipality established an information centre that includes a permanent exhibition on the writer, including his private photographs and books.
The centre has a multifunctional auditorium, club room with a gallery, pretty garden with a playground and a car park.

Chrustenice Mine

Chrustenice Museums & Galleries
The iron ore mine of Chrustenice used to be one of the largest and most important mines of Barrandien. It had as many as 84 underground levels going down to 426 m. , i. e. , 120 m below sea level. 
There was even a stable for the horses that worked underground. In the hundreds of metres of minning passages open to public you can see many original items linked to the heyday of mining and quarrying in this region. The visit includes a ride on the underground train.

Karlštejn WW II Pillbox

Karlštejn Museums & Galleries
The fully equipped armoured bunker, exactly as it was in September 1938. Machine guns, rifles, handguns and bombs from Czechoslovak Army weaponry, historical uniforms and complete technical equipment of the pillbox.
During the commented visit you will learn about defensive tactics of the fortifications and practical use of the equipment and armour of the pillbox.

Clock House

Karlštejn Museums & Galleries
An exceptional collection of clocks capturing the evolution of the clock-making craft from the 16th to the 21st century is exhibited in a house on the pedestrian zone below Karlštejn castle. The collection contains over 1000 items from all over the world and includes various types of clocks, watches, allarm clocks, tower clockworks, and other time-measuring devices.
